Frequently asked questions
Do you ship outside Canada?
No, at this time we are only able to ship to addresses within Canada. Due to phytosanitary certificate requirements for dahlia tubers and other agricultural products, we cannot ship tubers internationally or to the USA.
Can I combine orders?
Yes! If you place multiple orders to the same shipping address, I am happy to combine them into one box and refund the excess shipping charges.
-
How to do it: Please email me at gardenjuns@gmail.com with your order numbers.
-
Please note: We can only combine orders that haven’t been packed yet.
Do you sell cuttings?
This year, maybe! Let me know as I'd love to gauge interest on if you would like to see cuttings available. They are always a bit more difficult to guarantee they will arrive safe and sound, and shipping is usually slightly more expensive (as it needs faster shipping options)
Additional Things to Note
A Note on Your Cart
Please remember: Adding an item to your cart does not reserve it. Inventory is only secured once your payment has been processed and you receive an order confirmation number. Popular varieties can sell out quickly—sometimes while you are still browsing! I recommend checking out quickly with your "must-haves" and placing a second order for other items (since we combine shipping!).
Virus & Culling
I cull my dahlia patch aggressively - as I dedicate a small section of dahlia patch for hybridizing next to my main dahlia collection, this culling practice ensures minimal risk of virus from any new varieties to me, to my main collection and especially my new seedlings. I sanitize my tools (tip: with a blowtorch to reduce corrosion of my snips!) between tubers when dividing to prevent spread. While no farm can guarantee 100% virus-free stock due to the nature of how dahlia virus can present on the plant (asymptomatic, dormant) I do my absolute best to ensure my tuber stock is clean and vigorous when you receive them.
